CHRIST MEETS US IN OUR SICKNESS SORROW AND SUFFERING

text:

LUKE 8:40-55

questions:

1. How do you think about the reality of sickness/sorrow/suffering in this life, even for those who genuinely love and seek to obey God?

2. What modern examples can you give of someone who endures the kind of sorrow/suffering that this woman did? What would that be like?

3. What did we say was most surprising about the woman moving toward Christ in faith? If you were in her shoes, would you have already given up any hope of being healed?

4. Why did Christ insist that the woman who was healed make herself known? What does this teach us about His to heal us "all the way down?"

5. What are the sorrows and sufferings that are a part of your life that you are trusting Christ to carry you through and heal you in?
