WHAT GOSPEL FAITH LOOKS LIKE

Listen

Questions

1: We talked about two different ways that Bostonian culture talks about "believing." 1 = a general optimism about life. 2 = believing in yourself. When have you heard someone talk this way about "faith?"

2: We said that gospel faith is the tying together of understanding, assent, and trust. What is the difference betwen stopping at assent and moving to trust? When have you bound all 3 of these together in your life?

3: We said that Zechariah sought a sign but Mary sought understanding. How are these different? Which is more fitting for the Christian?

4: What is one place in your life where Christ is calling you to exercise "gospel faith," meaning to move from understanding through assent to trust? How are you seeking to do that?
