JULY 7

GATHERING AS GOSPEL COMMUNITIES AROUND OUR CITY

WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

Instead of everyone gathering together in our space at 10:00 for our usual worship service, we'll be gathering as gospel communities in homes across the city. There will be no typical Sunday service on site.

HERE ARE WHERE OUR GOSPEL COMMUNITIES WILL BE THIS SUNDAY. IF YOU ARE IN TOWN THIS SUNDAY, JOIN US AT ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS.

WILMINGTON AREA: 129 Nichols St., Wilmington, MA

SAUGUS AREA:

BELLEVUE & OAK GROVE AREA: 100 Farm Street, Wakefield, MA

HIGHLAND & MELROSE COMMON AREA: 37 First St, Melrose, MA

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Five reasons why:

1. This is a perfect way of simultaneously living out three of our newly aligned missional distinctives of hospitality, creativity, and the-long-game.

2. It creates a missional space to meet and love Bostonians (friends, neighbors) by opening our homes and tables.

3, It helps us communicate the truth that “church” is not an event we go to on Sundays, or a building where religious stuff happens, but a people believing and living the gospel together.

4. It affirms for everyone how central gospel communities are to life at Seven Mile Road.

5. It provides a week/day of rest for preachers, musicians, childcare workers, volunteers when Sunday church attendance is traditionally low and folks don't generally visit for the first time.
