Here is everything you need to know to begin giving generously to Seven Mile Road:
1: SEVEN MILE ROAD WORKS BECAUSE YOU GIVE.
We are a young church with:

no endowment
-
no rental income
-
no big benefactor in the background
And that’s ok!
What we do have is a community of people who love the gospel, value the mission of their local church, and trust God with their money.
2: WE GIVE BECAUSE OUR HEARTS HAVE BEEN CHANGED BY THE GOSPEL.
We don't give from guilt, or under compulsion, or to get on God's good side, or as a get-rich-quick scheme. We give out of love to God who has given us all things in the gospel. There is no clearer way to shout to the world "Christ is my real and unrivaled treasure" than by giving generously to the advance of His gospel through the life of the local church.
3: WE GIVE AWAY 10% OR MORE OF WHAT JESUS ENABLES US TO EARN.
Here is how we disciple people to think about money at Seven Mile Road:

SPEND & SAVE in accord with a solid personal financial plan
Notice that the first thing we do as God enables us to earn money is to give. This is a principle that God's people have always lived by. We happily acknowledge that everything we have belongs to God by giving some back to Him first.
We encourage everyone at Seven Mile Road to give 10% (or more!) of what Jesus lets us earn in a given year. Doing so would require us to live on 90% (or less!) of our annual income. Almost all of us can do that. For those of us who cannot, we do what we can by faith.
4: WE ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BEING HOLY WITH MONEY.
To that end:

we have regular outside financial reviews and audits

pastoral compensation is set by an Independent Compensation Committee

our annual budget aligns with our missional distinctives and is confirmed by our local congregation in tandem with our family of churches
-
we give away 10% of our local giving to gospel causes outside of Seven Mile Road
-
all financial statements are available for review by our members at any time
5: HERE IS HOW YOU CAN START GIVING TO SEVEN MILE ROAD.
The best way to love the church is to schedule monthly giving. This helps with cash flow management and allows us to be better stewards of our finances.
